International 800 planter — anyone use one to no-till?

Turkish

I picked up a used 2-row IH 800 planter several years ago. We primarily plant a dove field with it, sunflower, buckwheat, peas, sorghum. It has double offset disk openers and cuts a beautiful trench in my ground. I’ve always dealt with poor trench closure, though, and I’m not quite sure how to go about correcting it. Any ideas? My main thought is that the metal closing wheels aren’t contacting the ground (and maybe they would if the soil was fluffy and tilled). Are these wheels supposed to dig into untilled ground and throw dirt over the trench?
