20 Years On and a Couple Firsts

Teeder

5 year old buck +
This summer will be 20 years since I started planting oaks on our home property. The English and Sawtooth have been producing for more than 10 years. I had a couple years of production with the chestnut oak. This year is different. For the first time, one of my swamp chestnut oaks, a swamp white oak and a northern red all have Calkins! I feel like a proud papa!😄

Teeder ... congratulations ... TD is right, it is like Xmas. If you have room for a few more, PM me a mailing address and I'll Santa you some germinated acorns from a couple of other varieties of oaks.

It’s fun to see the acorns ! Personally I think a lot of landowners are missing out by not planting oaks.

Awesomeness.

You have taught me and helped my deal a ton.

A Teeder English oak is doing great right by the round pen!
