Morel season finally just started here in WI. Went out yesterday for 3 hrs and found only 3 morels. We did find some huge patches of ramps thou. We dehydrated some of them and ground them in a coffee grinder. Makes a great seasoning.
I'm going to try to pickle some. We just seared some in olive oil added a little salt. Wow! I now see why people go crazy over them just like morels. They were excellent.
