Is this oyster or what?
Youngest boy was all over them, spotted them a hundred yards out.

Looks like Chicken of the Woods to me. Take a look (and maybe a pic) of the underside. Oysters have gills that run all the way down the stem. If the gills terminate where they meet the stem it's not an oyster. If it has pores instead gills then it's more likely a Chicken.

Yep, chicken of the woods. It can be substituted for chicken in almost any meal.( for all us vegans on here).
