Yearling... With promise
Hello everyone! New member here. I currently live in Ohio (zone 6A) and I manage my family farm in New York (zone 5A/B) while I am working towards purchasing land here in Ohio. I am going to be starting some trees from seed in the spring. I already ordered by rootmaker propagation trays and pots. My plan is to plant some chestnuts and oaks this first year.
I am looking for a source for some cold hardy sawtooth acorns (late dropping preferably). I would like to be able to plant some of these trees at our farm in NY where the winters are quite cold. From researching online, it appears that a lot of the sources are from the south. Anyone have any ideas on a source or a specific strain I should be looking at? Thank you!
