    Sprayer storage

No, it stays together. It's not designed to come apart easily. Too many nuts and bolts, plus the hoses. There is a foam marker on it as well. It sits on the boom, so it's back heavy. The barn floor is stone, so rolling is t super easy either. We have the 25 gallon ATV model with the boom too...

    Sprayer storage

How are you guys storing your sprayers? Our barn is pretty full, and am looking for innovative ways to store a spray that fits in the back of a UTV. (Cropcare 60 gallon) It's a bit awkward for one person to load/unload. Ideally I'd like to find a better way to hang it, than the makeshift "crane"...

    Cuddeback's Cuddelink

It mentions something about a fee for the overage. Do you know what the cost is? Regardless, I was due to upgrade the plan. We're up to 10 cams, so it was time. I actually got by for a month or two by dialing back the pic interval. There isn't a ton to see early spring. Bucks are finally...

    Cuddeback's Cuddelink

I ran out of pics for this month yesterday/last night because we added 4 new cameras recently. I upped the data plan this am. How soon should I expect it to start sending pics again?

If you're looking for apples for zone 4, check out Perfect Circle Farm. Buzz is in zone 4.

    Perennial Plot Questions

Imox has a residual period, so be careful what you want to plant after spraying it. Grains might get killed, if planted too close to spraying.

    Morse Nursery

I don't have the full list anymore. I checked my email but the receipt didn't list the varieties. I know the one in my yard is a Sargent #5. I ordered 20 trees, so I probably picked 10 varieties.

    Bear and cub

This is probably the earliest I've ever seen a bear cub on camera in North central PA. (low res cell pic from the Cuddelink)

    Morse Nursery

I bought some of their hybrid oaks in 2017 for my dad when he turned 65. Most are still doing decent at our cabin. We each kept one at home. They're doing well, but each suffered and incident. Mine lost about 6' from the central leader 2-3 years ago. Some kind of worm bored a hole in it. Last...

    Gly spray didn't work?

Did you add AMS to your water? If you have hard water, it will neutral the Gly(weak acid) and it won't do anything.

    Bag spreader

I have a Hooyman, and it's very well designed, although not perfect. The harness works great and is comfortable. It's easy to fill. I did run into two issue this spring. Somehow clover seed got stuck in the spinner and jammed it. It took a few minutes to get out. The widest open setting isn't...

Best apple I have ever eaten

Trailman and Chestnut went into my yard this year. Had a few other varieties that just weren't doing it, so they're gone, and those will be the only two.

    Left Over Brassica Regrowing

My 2 cents. Just leave it alone. The rye and brassicas will die off after they go to seed, and to you'll be left with clover. And maybe some resprouts from anything that went to sees, but likely won't grow through thick clover.

    Verizon and Cuddelink

John, are we going to see an updated version of the app at some point? I'm using it, but the interface is very dated.

    Blue Hill Nursery Sale

Just when I thought I was out, they sucked me back in! A few persimmons came in stock last night when I happened to be at my PC. I ordered 6 more, since I missed out in the fall. They'll be here in time to plant during my spring gobbler trip, so I couldn't resist. Shipping was only $20 for the...

What's the best cellular cam for video?...& a decent cam mount I came across

I have a Tactacam with solar panel and lithium battery for sale. Send me a PM if you're interested. I was happy with it, but switched to a CuddeLink system since we wanted pics from all over the property, and only had cell service in one spot.

Good Deal on 5 ft. x 100 ft. 12.5-Gauge Welded Wire Fence with Mesh 2 in. x 4 in.

Some of the reviews say the gauge is 14 vs the advertised 12.5. It might be why it's cheaper. I'm still in for two rolls.

    Starting a new plot

I looked at the USDA soil maps, and it's a mix of these two. That seems accurate after doing some digging to plant a few apple trees. (limed/improved soil in holes) LaB—Lackawanna channery silt loam, 3 to 8 percent slopes Description of Lackawanna Parent material: Loamy till derived mainly from...

    Starting a new plot

We can get across the creek as it is now, as long as it hasn't rained significantly within a few days. It will be easier with a bridge for the rangers, so we can tow the spreaders back and forth across, instead of having to haul across the creek in the tractor bucket and load on the other side...
