Yesterday I planted 22 Norway Spruce bare roots and have 28 more to go. These came from our local SWCD.
I have 4 rolls of 6' x 50' mesh wire, but that won't get them all. I could cut them down to 3' high then I could get 50 using ~2.5' diameter.
Wondering for those that have planted similar...
Can anyone identify this? It appears to have been drilled in ~40 acres, stands a hearty 7-8 ft tall, located in central WI.

I just put 2 bags of Dunstans packed in moist sphagnum peat in my fridge's vegetable drawer. For those that have done it:
1. What frequency do you use for checking them?
2. How do you check them, remove the seeds from the bags entirely?
3. Do you add water at any time and if so, how?

Pulled a couple of first yr Dunstans out of the ground this fall and put them in pots. Had them on my front porch for awhile to let them go dormant. The leaves never did drop, but it's been cold for some time so I'm almost certain they're dormant by now. Wondering if anyone has a suggested...
Wondering peoples' thoughts on the age of this deer? I have a guess, but I'll admit that I struggle in that department.

Had a few of these show up in my freshly planted food plot. Any thoughts on what would make holes like this............snakes or something else? These 2 were located down in the lower, wet ground but I found some more on the higher, dryer end as well. Maybe I need to put a game camera out to see...
