Trail camera with remote viewing recommendation

Is there a trailcam that allows you to access the images from 100-150 yards away? I don‘t want to go through the bedding area to download the pics. I don’t need the cell plan as I am on the property all the time anyways. Thanks for the help!

Dunstan chestnut.....prepare to be mind blown

I went to gather chestnuts off our Dunstans this evening and several nuts have sprouted on the tree! I had never seen them sprout on the tree though so this is a first. We had an extremely wet year and the sun rarely shown so maybe this had something to do with it. Anyways......boom!

    April 29

So, we have no sign of spring yet. Grass is still the brownish color, no buds have broke, and I am watching snow fly. It is near white out conditions, much like a blizzard and about 1/4” of snow on the ground. It feels more like I should be getting ready for rifle season and not spring gobbler...

I have a great feeling about today!

Today is the second day in April that I have woken up and did not have snow on the ground. Yes, there is a hefty layer of frost on the ground and it is 24 degrees outside, but there is no snow on the ground! Spring may finally be here. Here’s to soon-to-be green grass and swollen buds!

    Will work for scion wood!

I am in a bit of a predicament. I bought 25 pear root stocks, and 25 cherry root stocks from Cummins this spring thinking I would find someone locally that I could get some scion wood from. Who knew it would be this hard to find scion wood for pear or cherry? I had my wife post on facebook and...

    Persimmons for sale in NY?

I was wandering around a local Walmart today and noticed the Chestnut leaf, so I walked over to inspect the trees. As I was walking towards them (chestnuts) I noticed a bunch of trees that had an apple leaf look. I thought it was odd for them to have apple trees inside. I flipped the tag and...

Plum wood - this years growth needed

I have a couple dozen plum rootstock I desperately need to graft soon. My plum I was going to use died unexpectedly so I am in a bind. If anyone has a great tasting plum variety, please send me a couple of sticks. I'll throw some money your way. Thanks!

    Grafting after leaf out?

My neighbor has a great tasting apple tree that is hollow from a boring beetle and I was asked if I could cut it down before it splits and falls on their house. I obliged and cut it down and hauled it away to my other neighbors to burn it. I snipped off some 1 year growth that was fully leafed...

Freezing temps with recently grafted apple and plum trees

Last week I grafted approximately 30 apple trees and stored them in my garage. For the past week we have had temps around 55 degrees. Yesterday I decided to graft the remaining 80 Apple trees on b118 and g30 rootstock and 10 plum trees (in the orchard). I prepped the Apple trees in buckets to...

    24 in New York

Two days ago the weather channel posted a low temp of 35. I didn't want to take any chances so I covered my blossomed apple trees with tarps. Well, it got down to 24 degrees and I think that I still had a freeze under the tarps. I took the tarps off today and the leaves are brown and all of the...

    Deadly winter

Yesterday I decided to do some pruning. I checked the front field first where my tallest grafts from last year were. They were all 4' and taller and more than 50 trees ( mostly Honeycrisp and Fuji). I had all but 4 trees that weren't completely girdled. I ended up snipping the rootstock just...
