Is there a trailcam that allows you to access the images from 100-150 yards away? I don‘t want to go through the bedding area to download the pics. I don’t need the cell plan as I am on the property all the time anyways. Thanks for the help!
Roots can develop above the graft at any time there is enough moisture for roots to grow. If the roots from above the graft take, eventually you will have the makings of a full size tree and no rootstock.
The whole purpose of buying a grafted tree is so you have the disease resistants and get the height desired. Otherwise, you might as well just graft onto any wild apple/crabapple seeding and just bury the graft.
I don’t have any seedling grafted pear. My pear are all 5 years old.
The post above was for actual plum trees that are much taller than I am. I would ship them but you would need a box truck to move them Since they are bigger and taller than any commercial trees at the box stores.
I am trimming this weekend. Does anyone else want any scions? If anyone is close enough to me, you can come get as many plum trees 2 years old as you wish. All are between 9’ and 12’. Varieties are Burbank and Bubblegum.

I made the mistake of regrafting some in my nursery in late March one year with no sign of bud swell, the same time I bench grafted my new rootstock. None of them took. The ones I regrafted in late April with bud swell all took.
