Deer view windows

I am building a new enclosed stand, and I am thinking about buying the Deer view windows. I was wondering if any of you use them? If you went with clear, grey, or camo, and if you like that choice, or wish you would have gotten a different choice? Can you see good out of the camo? How are they holding up so far?

Which one did you get? I would like hinged ones, but do they make ones that mount on the outside to keep the wood dry in the window sill dry? Or just the ones that screw on from the inside?

Mine are grey hinged Windows they mount inside don't think you could mount a hinge Window outside unless you wanted to swing them out which wouldn't work well. No problems seeing out of them mine are close to 3 years old so far. The only thing I did was add weather stripping to help them seal a bit better to contain scent. I slopped on extra paint and then spread caulk on the window sill we also used 2 full sheets of plywood for the roof for an overhang to keep the weather off.

I have used them ...

i have the clear ones on two of my blinds. Love them. When I bought mine they didn't have camo. Great construction. Great quality. Simple installation. I installed mine to swing down. I never understood the upswing on a window. I think they are great windows.

I have the clear drop down models. Good quality, easy to install, and we tack up mesh netting to drape over the window.

I just ordered (5) 48"x12" and (2) 24"x12" for our deer cabin.

I was all set to get them - and settled on these 24"x 24" from lowes for $38.00 ea. Its a box bling for gun hunting mostly

I have used crank outs and sliders and both freeze shut on me. I learned to crank the Mr. Heater up for a couple hours before trying to open them.

I have these in a box. A little anti freeze in the track goes a long way. They get debris in the track also. Makes opening them noisy if your not careful. I've been busted.

^^^^...Just put 4 of the sliders in a tower. I have been worried about freezing and had not thought about anti freeze. Also will keep some lock deicer inside. Thanks for the idea.
